Rehabilitation for Brain function, AI-Mechatronics
Formula EV (Electric Vehicle), ARM32-controller

Dr. Tsuruta's researches are PID control, sliding mode control, adaptive control,
robust control, preview control and autotuning for servo parameteres.

Recently, he studies applied technology of artificial intelligence to mechatronics,
a rehabilitation robot, failure detection using AI, microcomputer control using ARM32.

Study of the rehabilitation control unit using a brain illusion

This study is one of the neurorehabilitation and aims at the improvement of the rehabilitation effect, the dementia prevention by causing a brain illusion.
We developed a motion control function for rehabilitation.
/ Multiple axes independent control function
/ Load estimated function using the disturbance observer
/ Force feedback function using the bilateral control
/ Outside stimulation function using the acceleration sensor
/ User friendly system using AD5436 controller with MATLAB/Simulink

Formula EV (Electric Vehicle)

We won a fighting spirit prize by a student production vehicle exhibition of Fukuoka motor show 2015. Our EV is made of the following parts.
/ Motor (Y-MEV30kw, Yaskawa electric)
/ VCU (Personal computer)
/ Lithium-ion battery(3.2V*84=268.8VDC)
/ Battery management system

Microcomputer Control using ARM32

We developed a motor feedback control system using STM32VL Discovery using ARM®Cortex®‑M. This system is comprised of the following parts.
/ DC motor (RS-385PW)
/ Encoder (334pulse/rev)
/ Drive IC (TA7291P)
We developed the velocity feedback control, position feedback control, disturbance observer, feedforward compensator, vibration suppress filter in this system.
